Two Worlds
Since I can remember I've lived in two worlds
Since you can remember you were the world
In my world there are no lies or manipulations
In your world truth is hard to find
In my world people are sincere and integer
In your world they throw daggers in one's back
In my world friends and love are synonymous
In your world friends are useful
I my world I can function on any level
In your world I can barely function at all
In my world God is one with the beauty of nature
In your world God is a dysfunctional warrior
In my world I can be myself
In your world I must wear a mask
In my world things are simple and I am understood
In your world everything is problematic
I go to my world as often as I can
The art, the books and dreams keep me stable
But you always drag me back into your world
filled with finance, greed, lust and the clinically insane.
In my world my cup runneth over
In your world I lost the cup.
