Communication
Although she saw him every day
He'd left her long ago
She wondered where he went
The man she used to know
The one who was her rock
Her lover, and her friend
They'd always been so close
Now it was all pretend
She told him she would leave
If things didn't get better
He shrugged, he didn't understand
So she wrote it in a letter
He didn't bother reading it
And asked if she was unwell
She screamed in sheer frustration
Told him to go to hell!
He guessed they needed to talk
And told her not to worry
But not just now because
He was in an awful hurry
When he got back he was shocked
To find she'd smashed his PC
In his mind he'd figured it out
A bad case of PMT
No use talking now
Best keep out of her way
In his mind he couldn't conceive
That she'd ever leave one day
But leave she did…
He really couldn't believe it
And he wondered too
Whatever had happened
To the woman he once knew
The one who had adored him
Right from their first date
Soft spoken and so loving
His comfort and his mate
He never understood
In his bewildered state
What she needed most
Was for him to communicate.
