Speak of the Devil

door killea

Speak of the Devil

I went to Charlie's pub for a quick drink
Met a strange person, a man, I think
I asked him what he knew
He said everything true and untrue
I asked him where he had been
He said there was nothing he hadn't seen
I asked him about his career
He said he'd been very busy all year
I asked him about his age
He said he was the oldest sage
I asked him when he was born
He said he came with the first spawn
I asked him what was on his head
He stroked them with pride, "my horns", he said
I asked, who are you, and ordered another drink
He said, my dear, I'm man's missing link.

I think Jim Morrison would have liked this one!
Moment please, just put Riders on the storm on !
    GRRReat this one!
And I saw him coming (i also have one about the devil, and I think he had the same outfit on (except on my bench, sitting next to me, he wore his Boraslino...).
Have you noticed too that he files them ? He's a sleek one, for sure!

It's so bloody nice to read about my friends.

De titel trok mijn aandacht, aangezien ik 'Duveltje' ben en mijn vriend 'Engeltje', hoewel het in praktijk niet altijd zo is ;-)

Leuk, leest vlot. Waarom eigenlijk altijd gedichten in het Engels?

    Wendy x
killea: Hi Wendy, thanks for FB. My dutch writing is not good at all, although I speak and read it.

    schitterend

en voor mij is het ritme héél goed en vlot
het is zoiets dat heel gemakkelijk van buiten te leren is, precies door het ritme en het rijm

    I like it!

    killea: Thanks, darling!
