Lost and Found
I went to the Lost and Found
looking for myself
the man said the life I expected
was not on his shelf
so I travelled the world over
searched in all the places
don't recall names
but remember all the faces
I tasted the good life
had houses I called my own
the parties and the perfidy
the quest into the unknown
made monumental mistakes
four wedding rings in the drawer
yet the yearning never leaves me
still wanting more, and more
and I will take each experience
that may find me on my routes
and dance to the music
in my wicked black boots
and if I never find it
and my ship has run aground
I'll just go back and ask again
at the Lost and Found
