thoughts exposed
chances taken
who knows?
nothing is right
timing is wrong
we feel the pull
exchange a song
when everything's said
line goes dead
it's just the bond
from head to head
reasons unknown
we speculate
not what we think
it's a whole different plate
game is up
write the bards
we need to reshuffle
or get new cards
and life, like a juicy pear
always full of promise
dripping with despair
more tears than laughter
it's never fair
we read the words
listen to the song
wonder why the
bond is so strong
the writer
the poet
the reading throng
