Mirror, Mirror
who is this person
to the mirror I cried
as usual it flattered
and blatantly lied
the tears run down cheeks
from Irish green eyes
each rivulet ruining
the cosmetic disguise
and when black lines
follow the trail
looking worse every second
and ready to wail
the bloody mirror says :
stop wasting my time
get on with your life
you look just fine
or go search for yourself
in the eyes of another
a stranger, a friend
an acquaintance or a lover
who sees beyond the layers
it'll hit your heart with a jolt
he knows who you are
and you'll just want to bolt
but stick around for a while
if you would
he'll show you more than
I ever could
and while we're on
the subject Sara*
next time you shop
buy waterproof mascara

It seems so easy to do in English.
