it was instant rapport
nothing less
and nothing more
your talent and your honesty
made my heart soar
you made me laugh
every brief encounter
I miss that in every way
quite honestly
I miss you every day
I know you think I'm strange
but that too is okay
you love to step into my world
at least that's what you say
heart and mind do not agree
I admit I'm a little astray
but from a distance, my friend
I will love you anyway
how much, you'll never get to know
no button for replay
silently my tears flow
as I wait for the end of day
each day the same emotional train
and I wonder how long I can play
on this matter, the above
is all I have to say
things are as they are
and will remain the same
only wish I could remember
