door fallendreamz

In the mirror all I see
is my own magnificient image
staring back at me.

But just by looking I will never find
How on earth I could've been so blind.

And why I never felt no sorrow,
is something I will never get.
All the time I feel so keen
about all the people I could have met
everything I could have been.

As I close my eyes
I face a mean, old man.
as I open them again
I have to face my own horrible lies.

The man in the picture is unaware
of my being there,
although he is who I am.
And I know you don't understand
and I know for sure you can't tell
because I look like an angel and he
looks like hell.

But the blood on his hands,
(over there you see?)
Is put there because of no one else
but me.

All the terrible things I've done,
that can't be washed away,
have troubled me all along,
but on my mind they couldn't stay.

I lived bringing people down,
ruling over them like a king without crown

And so lie,
About to die,
And nobody will cry,
Because they will finally face the true 'I'.

  en met wat een gedicht! je hebt de voorbije maanden niet stilgezeten, denk ik (met die pen bedoel ik dan). je bent alweer een heel stuk vooruitgegaan.
