When the time comes for a new endeavour
the time is never right, or schedules are misaligned
people's faces looking strange into a world so deranged
where most run around not knowing they are lost
in their dreams of a reality with or without a belief
their lives so normal, their values so cheap
And when it is too late for the masses to decide
having slept on the day of the devil's trial
another generation has to pay the price of rehabilitation
savage faces, fighters in the street, fighters using feet
the people hiding in the safety of their homes
in peaceful villages, their reality undisturbed
The fashion industry burns tons of unsold wares
every year bonfires of goods to the taxman's incinerators
food is dumped and subsidized, while hungry mouths shrivel with thirst
all the rich union's dirty little secrets, will they ever be exposed?
has anyone heard of redundancies in Brussels?
the European Empire, the Romans and the Germans fought for it
Like slaves, we handed it to the faceless powers that be on a plate.
