Difficult Times (for Jamal)
Difficult times to go through
broken hearted and four weeks of flue
feel like dying but there's so much to do
work pressure, bills due
Pushing ahead with a cocktail of pills
none of them helping much with the ills
one day up, the other day with chills
must learn to relax and do what He wills
Times must change and it is in my hands
but they are overwhelmed by the constant demands
to resolve, solve and undo bands
the past etched and connected with invisible strands
Hoping there will come another day
when I can reflect, meditate and pray
with thanks for the bloody rough price I pay
for the routes I have chosen to live and play
