In Dreams
You come to me in my dreams every night
you look different but in essence it is you alright
and often I wake up tears in my eyes
I recognise you through your disguise
you speak to me but the words fade away
and confusion is complete for the rest of the day
you write something down but although I try
I cannot read it, and wonder why
you still keeping haunting when sleep is endeavoured
as though the bond had never been severed
once you came as a healer and I was as before
then you took it away to taunt me once more
you come to me in my dreams every night
there is nothing I can do, I have no way of flight
when will you give me peace and stay where you are
don't come tonight don't travel through the ether
your mystical ways I can no longer bear
do not come to me when I am not there.
