Woke up this morning with Tourette syndrome
felt like swearing at the world today
with expletives, strangers to my tongue
better for everyone to stay out of my way

angry at judgement, and the quick resolves
tired of the fight for the right to just be
annoyed at life's unscrupulous petty details
most of all, furious with the gullible me

rage I must for a little while, exasperation rules
it's just the storm before the calm, the natural flow
composed, serene, the calm more perilous
profundity may prevail or a little quid pro quo
