hours of labour, blood sweat and tears
hatred at times for what was to come
excitement and trepidation, even fears
wanting to re-do it again and again
crossing every deadline day after day
like a bestselling author in spé
too late, too late it was time for the press
pushed and shoved, no sleep or rest
finally it popped into sight, on screen no less

congratulations, the publisher said
it's a book, a beautiful (newborn) book……

  proficiat June met je nieuw geboren kind al was de bevalling misschien over tijd, troost je een bevalling van een olifant duurt altijd veel langer dan dat men uitgerekend heeft en zonder ene weepijn ploept het kleintje plots op de grond en begint het feest van voor af aan ..
  het zal je leven voor goed veranderen vanaf nu ben je auteur, schrijver, dichter en mag je je naamkaartjes aanpassen ...
