Sun and moon's lightning
days passing by
never taken for granted
as I'm asking why
raindrops from leafs
hitting the concrete
splatter and vanish
guess we took it for granted

Hands been shook
the pronunciation of peace
respect been lent
even for the least confrontation
with a fellow friend
guess we took it for granted

To take something for granted
is timeless expectation
selfish anguish
to know what would happen
or better yet
what should happen

But no palm has grip over this
no arm can embrace the assumption
or claim the upcoming
So I just stand still
no praise nor preach
and realize Life shouldn't be taken for granted.
