Unperturbed by aeons passed
these granite gods stand fast
Solemn and austere in awe-inspiring grace
and cloth themselves in season's dress
In shades of red and gold and white.
They gracefully condone
upon their ancient sides
those valiant souls that
seek to break their mortal bonds
and set a flight their yearning hearts.
