Uit wat ik hieruit kan opmaken schrijf je over de oorlog en hoe dat een soldaat zich daar voelt, wat hem kwelt, de pijn die hij dagdagelijks ziet en zelf voelt. Niet het luisteren naar de vogels maar het geschreeuw van komandanten en gewonden, het moment van angst waarop jezelf moet schieten of nog erger zelf getroffen wordt
