How can I say what I mean
when every day what I say
means something else
is it a trick that I play with words
or do the words trick me
into play
with nuances
the fine distinctions
reading between the lines
of the language
of love
created through verbal skills
skills of love verbalised
eternalised
in storms
enjoyed and deplored
feared and adored
just a matter of perspective
poetry that reaches into the unknown skies
or into the depths of that which dies
in between we hear laughter and desperation
the eagle's scream
maybe, just maybe
that's where the answer lies
or in the lulling melody
of the nightingale's cries
