This day, this special day
the dawning of your life
let sabotage no longer throw
a cog in your worn machine
embracing clarity and truth
let the memories come swirling
whirling around to destruct
yet never able to touch
the eye of a raging storm
run, bypass your dreams
let them catch up with you
leave behind what you needed
own your errors and change
the perspective of your world
throw out deceit and fairytales
like the old stale bread
in the cupboard of your mind
regrets a useless emotion
you should have eaten on time
this day, this special day
I will walk with you
if you lead the way
dry my tears of lost sentiment
let the road be cobbled
let it rain, no, let it pour
we shall find our true selves
within each other once more
or let go the magnitude
let this heart crumble to dust
in agonizing sorrow and deep distrust
