As my words float on the surf
looking for comprehensible cohesion
some go here and some go there
but none find the sought adhesion
so despairing in the battle of the sexes
leaving a trail of tears along the strand
waves throw the words back to the shore
and for a moment one can understand
words of love will always return
the universe knows about collusion
sea pulls the letters back into the deep
and one's heart believes all was illusion
