From the repetitive endless pain
I write because my mouth is sealing
twice bitten I must wear the shame
I have to write as my mind is reeling

remember the sun in my garden
the Spanish plates on the wall
the hilarious conversations
the lovemaking starting in the hall

and the songs that take one back
to a time not so long ago
the night of the electrified fly-swat
the early morning tango

the plans made in madness
even the bad times were overcome
with strength, love and patience
our quarrel, and no-one won

remember me now that I'm gone
take all the goodness light
love in my life your star
always shines so very bright
