It's so peaceful in the rain
no longer feel any of the pain
lost all, my love and vanity
ego replaced with sanity

it's an illness they tell
that makes sense, rings a bell
but I no longer care
gone for good, not there

the beautiful memory board so fine
which I have worked on, so divine
will be cut into a puzzle game
always different, beautiful, always the same

the peace which transcends all understanding
hit my heart, so full yet undemanding
the curse removed, like being hit by a truck
which pulled me right out of the quicksand muck

the puzzle will burn into smoke to the sky
answers will not be needed to my 'why'
one-sided games are never fair
you cannot cheat at Solitaire
