Where were you?
As the leaves begin to fall
you are gone disappeared in the all
nothing was ever as it was
just like in the land of the wizard of OZ
and I fall down with the first leaf
lost in the love and the belief
that all that was in truth
it was but a circus booth
and love was a magic poem or two
the same as you wrote to me and I to you
so go as I create my new gang of mates
a lot of friends but none of them dates
I washed your feet like a mother.sister or daughter
and kissed them to heal like I ought to
you took what you needed from me
and I took what was needed too, you see
but I believed and you did not
so all was just a fucking grot
where were you when I needed you most
busy with yourself like the storm to boast
promises made, none held in time except some
that you were never mine alone
