Today we walked a long, long way
our Matriarch, she cried
it was a mourning march she told
our beloved saviour has died
one of our own has gone
we will pay our due respect
honour him with the love he gave
we'll take our time to reflect
our memory serves us well
he gave all he had to give
so that we could go on, exist
and finally in freedom live
