This Life (2)
This life
was not what I had dreamed of
what a rollercoaster ride
the countries I have lived in
each one on the other global side
the places I have seen
on travels far and wide
the evil places I have been
friends true and real
and those who were not
every experience taught,
hard lessons hurt a lot
so much joy and revelation
I love, was loved, am loved
I feel in my heart each sensation
now in this month, by and large
a year since my love
left me, for Madam Defarge
a year since I took a dive
into the next world, saved,
I am so happy to be alive
what a year I would have missed
with troubles and much sorrow
joy, love and protection
I will still be here tomorrow
a new adventure on its way
it never stops too long
before it is a brighter day
this life was not what I dreamed of…
