As I search my soul
it hides, out of reach
answers remain open
I have to claim defeat
my sorrow is complete

my tears flood the room
with endless memories
chain reactive fate
read again, go insane
I sit in the pouring rain

surrounded by invisible
barbed-wire fence
nothing can enter my space
heart be still, you know
in wasteland nought will grow

the petals of the roses
lay strewn over the floor
love's flowers died
one by one they silently fell
to join me in my profound hell…
