Woke up this morning filled with desire
it is cold, my heart is out there
reconciled with the maybe's of today
conscious of the risks of tomorrow
I feel the synchronicity of a beat
tantalizing like a forbidden sweet
look but cannot touch, shame of thoughts,
reaching, researching every word
weighted with complicity, complexity,
and in my fantastical world I feel myself
nibble on your lower lip, just before
the breathless kiss, the pathway,
the route to the unspoken language
