a head in pieces
some dark and stubborn
some easy and restfull
others strange or worn
some pieces require the dark
most pieces are easy to keep back
most are hard to hold to a spark
hoping they burn without their shelter
most pieces are boring
not worth sharing
not in need of a spark
some not even worth caring
not the whole world needs to know
just those who manage to care
just those who do not sow
who aren't afraid to keep asking
just the mind can give one peace
peace with the neverending flow
peace with the impossibilities
peace which explains all there is to know
peace can be hard to understand
where does it come from?
where should it lend a hand?
who ever has the right to have any?
where should one let it lead
peace can lead to a lack of challenge
peace can lead to dangerous pits
but peace will also bring balance
peace comes from many places
a mind free to roam the earth
a mind accepting of all races
but most of all the option to let go
a mind can earn peace in many ways
my way is asking the difficult questions
my way not always finding the answers
asking takes moments, answering eons
my way makes me ask the why's
solitude lets me dismiss the mundane
solitude takes the scales of my eyes
making me king of my own world
